SFP Coalition Partners Express Concern for Smoke-Free Legislation in Turkey

Brussels, 12 February: SFP together with a number of its Coalition partners expressed serious concern regarding the possible introduction of separate smoking areas indoors, which could lead to a reversal of smoke-free policy in the country. 

This initiative runs counter the political commitments previously made by the former Turkish Health Minister and by the President to strengthen the country’s smoke-free policies by extending the smoking ban to certain public outdoor areas. These concerns were expressed in a letter sent to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey. Download the full letter below.
